  • Interface with external engineering and manufacturing partners to design and bring to market successful products and systems.
  • Participate in design reviews within various disciplines to ensure the consistent, timely delivery of high-quality products and systems.
  • Produce design documentation to facilitate interaction with the quality assurance team and manufacturing partners as well as other developers and product documentation authors.

Qualifications of the Lead Product Systems Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related technical field, required.
  • 7+ years’ relevant, professional experience in engineering and product development, including 3+ years in a leadership role (consumer electronics background, highly preferable).
  • Technical expertise in home electrical systems as well as power circuitry in consumer electronics.
  • History of success in cross-functional engineering environments, including hardware, firmware, and mechanical design.
  • Experience with consumer home electrical systems, solar panels, power electronics, lithium batteries, high power conversion circuitry, all preferable.
  • Experience working with international development and manufacturing partners, very valuable.
  • Deep understanding of the fundamentals of photovoltaics, energy storage systems, power conversion and battery charging.
  • Comprehension of electrical schematics and basic layouts of digital and analog circuitry.
  • Familiarity with communication standards and protocols, including UART, CAN, RS485, etc.
  • Experience with firmware development on microcontrollers and SoCs.
  • Experience with basic lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, et al.

Requirements & Responsibilities of the Product Owner: 

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner with a technical background including mobile app experience.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification is a huge plus; IoT (Internet of Things) experience is strongly preferred.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication capabilities.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Work in an Agile environment and continuously review business needs, priorities, milestones & deliverables, and opportunities & risks.
  • Partner with stakeholders and customers across the organization to establish the product vision, strategy, and features.
  • Work cross-functionally with both internal and external teams to execute product vision and exceed customer expectations.

  • Active U.S. Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance is required (TS/SCI with Poly is even better).
  • Degree and/or relevant SysAdmin & IT experience in patching & hardening systems and making systems secure.
