Mechanical Design Engineer (HVAC)
Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Reports to: Mechanical Engineering Manager
Compensation: $75-100K, plus profit sharing
MIKE & THE MECHANICS’ classic 1988 ballad “In the Living Years” is a simple, sweet, and not-so-subtle story of regret and unresolved feelings between a man and his deceased father. It addresses generational gap issues we all face trying to relate to loved ones and society at large. The narrator concludes such unsettled conflicts will do nothing but haunt us in the end and should be tackled while we still have a chance. Regret is a burdensome thing and it’s almost always better to rue something you did than something you didn’t do. Like applying for that awesome MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER position you always wanted! As the song goes, “It’s too late when you die to land jobs for which you can’t apply…” or something like that.
Requirements & Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical design, including familiarity with HVAC systems.
- Exposure to Revit and Bluebeam software platforms.
- Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication capabilities.
- Ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects, each delivered on schedule with high client satisfaction.
- Design HVAC, heating, hydronic, plumbing, and natural gas systems.
- Read mechanical, architectural, and civil drawings to coordinate with structure.
- Demonstrate knowledge of codes and standards to ensure all designs comply with the necessary regulations.
