SENIOR PURCHASING MANAGER

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Reports to: Director of Supply Chain

Compensation: $130 – $160K + bonus

Your Role:

You’ll lead procurement strategy within a government contracting environment – ensuring timely, compliance acquisition of materials while driving cost savings, supplier performance, and team effectiveness. You’ll partner cross- functionally to support complex programs and align sourcing practices with our goals for operational excellence. 

 

What You’ll Do:

·      Lead negotiations for strategic supply agreements and contracts

·      Develop and implement purchasing strategies across commodities

·      Manage cost and price analysis to support government contracts

·      Build and lead a high-performing purchasing team

·      Oversee supplier performance, risk mitigation, and training programs

·      Monitor emerging technologies and benchmark market practices

·      Support savings goals, inventory management, and continuous improvement

·      Collaborate across departments and levels to meet business needs

·      Ensure full compliance with FAR, DFAR, ITAR, EAR, and other regulations

 

What You’ll Bring:

·      Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field required. MBA preferred.

·      8+ years of experience in a senior procurement role within a government contracting environment

·      Proven track record of team leadership, performance management, and professional development

·      In-depth understanding of FAR, DFAR, ITAR, EAR, and other U.S. acquisition regulations

·      Strong SAP ERP experience

·      Outstanding financial acumen and ability to develop and negotiate detailed Statements of Work

·      Exceptional communication skills with an ability to build relationships and collaborate with both internal teams at all levels and build external relationships
