Lead Systems Engineer
Lead Systems Engineer (Power Stations)
Reports to: Director of Engineering
Location: Lehi, UT
Responsibilities of the Lead Systems Engineer:
- Act as technical subject matter expert for proprietary power station systems and all subsystems and technologies within to facilitate planning and execution of product launch work plans.
- Collaborate closely with product and project management as well as staff engineers to define product scope and requirements; work to deliver such products within scope, budget and quality requirements.
- Develop system drawings, technical requirements and interface documentation to facilitate interaction of subsystems and technologies within power stations.
- Work with peer engineers and management to develop and define specifications for future products; provide recommendations on emerging technologies, best practices and standards adherence.
- Interface with external engineering and manufacturing partners to design and bring to market successful products and systems.
- Participate in design reviews within various disciplines to ensure the consistent, timely delivery of high-quality products and systems.
- Produce design documentation to facilitate interaction with the quality assurance team and manufacturing partners as well as other developers and product documentation authors.
Qualifications of the Lead Systems Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related technical field, required.
- 7+ years’ relevant, professional experience in engineering and product development, including 3+ years in a leadership role (consumer electronics background, highly preferable).
- Technical expertise in electrical systems design for power conversion systems and consumer electronics.
- History of success in cross-functional engineering environments, including hardware, firmware, and mechanical design.
- Experience with consumer home electrical systems, electrical panels, power electronics, lithium batteries, high power conversion circuitry, all preferable.
- Experience working with international development and manufacturing partners, very valuable.
- Deep understanding of the fundamentals of photovoltaics, energy storage systems, power conversion and battery charging.
- Comprehension of electrical schematics and basic layouts of digital and analog circuitry.
- Familiarity with communication standards and protocols, including UART, CAN, RS485, etc.
- Experience with firmware development on microcontrollers and SoCs.
- Experience with basic lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, et al.
- Soft skills (hard requirements): collaboration, leadership, mentoring, self-starter, independence, organization, and the desire to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication capabilities.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Senior Product Regulatory Engineer
Sr. Product Regulatory Engineer
Location: Riverton, UT
Reports to: Director of Product Development
Compensation: $140 - $160K + bonus
Responsibilities & Requirements of the Sr. Product Regulatory Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related technical field
- 10+ years experience in product development with a primary focus on regulatory compliance – prefer experience working with consumer electronics, solar products, photovoltaics, and/or energy/power products
- Prioritizes making complex systems safe for customers, team members, and the environment
- Highly experienced with handling product safety and regulatory activities for specific technologies and product categories as well as regulatory bodies
- Ability to advise and work collaboratively with technical teams, leadership, and stakeholders
- Knowledgeable in industry-wide regulatory safety standards within the US and abroad
- Experience developing and executing compliance programs
- Provide risk/value assessment with technical input and conclusions
- Experience engaging with and participating in UL or other standards creations entities is a PLUS!

Senior Electrical Engineering Technician
Sr. Electrical Engineering Technician
Location: Riverton, UT
Reports to: Product Testing Manager
Compensation: $85 - $90K + Bonus
Responsibilities & Requirements of the Sr. Electrical Engineering Technician:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field – Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, etc.
- 3+ years engineering tech experience
- Experienced in testing electrical products, validating hardware and firmware specs, and running tests
- Performs work with the end-user of product in mind
- Strong understanding of the fundamental principles of electronics and equipment to test/modify electronics
- Experience with consumer electronics, power electronics a plus!
- Ability to collect and share data from findings
- Board level electronics including schematics, soldering, and troubleshooting
