Hiring Engineers Of All Sorts

3 Engineering Jobs Open

One cool thing about being an engineer is that you get to couple creativity with science to solve problems and generate new, tangible things. Whether they be tiny electronic components or entire cityscapes, there’s no doubt that they are there, they are real and engineers are to thank (or blame) for them. Too many people go through life overworked and underpaid; overused and underappreciated; over it and unsatisfied and, at the end of the day, they still have nothing to show for their hard work. At least nothing they directly affected or are in any way proud of. That’s no life. Especially for an engineer. This is your chance to build something real, to make a mark, to do what you became an engineer to do: change lives and get paid.

Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Reports to: Hardware Electrical Engineering Manager

Compensation: $90K - $130K, plus bonus

At some point, we’ve all asked ourselves, “What if the GOLDEN GIRLS were ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS?!?” Well, for one thing, they'd be SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS and secondly, the show would still be hilarious! Sofia would go on and on about how they didn’t even use CAD software back in the old country. Dorothy would cut her off with a classic “Oh, Ma… You wouldn’t know Altium from Autodesk.” comeback. There’d be stories about Blanche’s extensive (and often scandalous) experience in an Agile SCRUM workplace. And, of course, Rose would find a way to relate PCB design to growing up in St. Olaf, Minnesota with one of her quaint, quirky anecdotes. The ladies would still eat cheesecake at the end of every episode. It would taste terrible but the lighting and design would be amazing! BTW, we have a GOLDEN opportunity for a SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER.

Requirements & Responsibilities of the Senior Electrical Engineer:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  •  Outstanding understanding of and experience in digital electrical engineering, including discrete circuit design, and microcontroller system design.
  •  Exceptional Altium CAD tool experience including schematic creation and PCB design.
  •  Exposure to firmware design, development of mobile devices, digital cameras, and USB and Bluetooth module connectivity are highly preferred.
  •  Team player mentality! Experience working in an Agile SCRUM workplace is ideal.
  •  Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication capabilities.
  •  Work cross-functionally to support existing and developing product lines.
  •  Define electrical requirements and communicate detailed product specifications.
  •  Develop hardware designs and optimize performance and costs within product markets.

For more than 20 years, we have been setting industry standards when it comes to data capture hardware, firmware, software and services. Our clients include global leaders in myriad industries and our products and solutions have been as successful and diverse as they are. Our continued prosperity is contingent upon capable people so we do all we can to assure they prosper as well. We offer employer-paid insurance for employees, 401(k) matching, truly flexible schedules, generous PTO and more, in a creative, collaborative setting. Come see what you’ve been missing!

Automation Controls Engineer

Location: Salt Lake City, UT / 100% Onsite

Reports to: Automation Department Lead

Compensation: $105-145K, DOE

It’s common knowledge that within 25 years, 95% of all current, human jobs will be done by machines. Automation and artificial intelligence will continue to advance until the technological singularity occurs (circa 2065), at which point mankind will fall almost entirely under robotic control. Even now, in 2023 it is estimated that 40% of all world leaders and as many as 500 of the world’s 2000 billionaires are actually automatons. Elon Musk is the best example of ‘living’ proof of this theory. A Google search of ‘Elon Musk dancing’ and one minute on YouTube will convince even the most hardened skeptic. It’s truly inhuman and, frankly, terrifying... 100% of the above statistics are unfounded but this much is true: If you want to stay in charge as automation expands toward ubiquity, the best way to do it will be to control the machines. The best way to do that is as an AUTOMATION CONTROLS ENGINEER and we’re hiring one now!

Requirements & Responsibilities of the Automation Controls Engineer:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent years of experience.
  •  5+ years’ professional automation engineering experience, including PLC (programmable logic controller) and/or DCS (distributed control systems).
  •  Background in consumer products, chemicals, food, beverage, or heavy industry, preferable.
  •  Experience with Rockwell, Allen Bradley and/or Emerson DeltaV systems.
  •  AutoCAD experience is a bonus.
  •  Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  •  Work with Automation team to deliver graphic and code development for various clients on schedule and within budget.
  •  Convert old graphics and code from legacy DCS or PLC to new platforms.
  •  Develop electrical and instrumentation design documentation as needed.
  •  Engage with clients in an ethical and professional manner, as an ambassador for the company.
