Fun fact: Magnum, P.I. was originally slated to be titled Magnum, C.I. and follow the adventures of a manufacturing manager and his mustache as they 6S slashed their way through LEAN manufacturing methodologies and 80/20 principles, en route to OTIF project completion. Apparently, the concept was too edgy for network suits and they scrapped it for the ol’ ‘sexy Hawaiian private investigator’ trope. Too bad.
