SR. ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Location: Cedar City, UT

Reports to: Engineering Manager

Compensation: $130 - $160K

 

Company Overview

We are a growing industrial manufacturer operating a highly technical, process-driven facility in the Western U.S. With ongoing capital investment and expansion, the organization is focused on strengthening infrastructure, reliability, and operational performance.

 

Your Role:

The Senior Electrical Engineer owns site-wide electrical systems, including power distribution and control systems, while leading a small technical team. This role combines hands-on troubleshooting, team leadership, and capital project execution to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

 

What You’ll Do:

·     Oversee plant electrical systems (high/medium/low voltage, controls, instrumentation)

o  4160v distribution system

o  480v PDC and MCC distribution points

o  DC power supplies, rectifiers, and VFDs

o  Instrumentation and DCS (Factory Talk)

·     Lead and develop operations technology staff; support maintenance and production teams

·     Drive reliability through preventive maintenance and advanced troubleshooting

·     Lead electrical scope of capital projects (design, install, commission)

·     Identify and implement efficiency and performance improvements

·     Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards (OSHA, NEC, NFPA)

·     Maintain system documentation and report on performance

 

What You’ll Bring:

·     Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related)

·     10+ years in industrial/manufacturing environments

·     Leadership or supervisory experience

·     Expertise in power distribution, motor controls, PLC/DCS systems

·     Experience with high-voltage systems and electrical design tools

·     Strong troubleshooting and project management skills

·     PE license preferred

·     Chemical/process manufacturing and/or energy management experience a bonus

·     Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
