Lead Systems Engineer (Power Stations)

Reports to: Director of Engineering

Responsibilities of the Lead Systems Engineer:      

  • Act as technical subject matter expert for proprietary power station systems and all subsystems and technologies within to facilitate planning and execution of product launch work plans.
  • Collaborate closely with product and project management as well as staff engineers to define product scope and requirements; work to deliver such products within scope, budget and quality requirements.
  • Develop system drawings, technical requirements and interface documentation to facilitate interaction of subsystems and technologies within power stations.
  • Work with peer engineers and management to develop and define specifications for future products; provide recommendations on emerging technologies, best practices and standards adherence.
  • Interface with external engineering and manufacturing partners to design and bring to market successful products and systems.
  • Participate in design reviews within various disciplines to ensure the consistent, timely delivery of high-quality products and systems.
  • Produce design documentation to facilitate interaction with the quality assurance team and manufacturing partners as well as other developers and product documentation authors.

Qualifications of the Lead Systems Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related technical field, required.
  • 7+ years’ relevant, professional experience in engineering and product development, including 3+ years in a leadership role (consumer electronics background, highly preferable).
  • Technical expertise in electrical systems design for power conversion systems and consumer electronics.
  • History of success in cross-functional engineering environments, including hardware, firmware, and mechanical design.
  • Experience with consumer home electrical systems, electrical panels, power electronics, lithium batteries, high power conversion circuitry, all preferable.
  • Experience working with international development and manufacturing partners, very valuable.

Senior Project Engineer

Location: St. George, UT (100% On-site)

Reports to: Director of Technology 

Responsibilities & Requirements of the Sr. Project Engineer:

  •  Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering
  •  7+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with overall production process knowledge
  •  4+ years’ experience in leadership role or capacity
  •  Experience in polymer composites manufacturing is a HUGE PLUS
  •  Exceptional experience managing projects for new process/product development and new capital equipment, or capacity expansion is a MUST
  •  Experience leading and managing full project lifecycle - conception, design, selection, business case presentation, budgeting, installation, validation, commissioning, etc.
  •  Ability to manage individual projects as well as provide oversight and leadership on all facility projects
  •  Works cross-functionally with other teams and departments to ensure overall continuity of production operations
  •  Great problem-solving and analytical skills
  •  Strong communicataion and interpersonal skills
  •  Proficient with CAD, preferably Solidworks or AutoCAD
  •  Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: Salt Lake City, UT - 100% On-site

Reports to: President

Compensation: $175K - $190K+ DOE (Bonus & Equity)

Responsibilities & Requirements of the CFO :

  •  Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; Master’s a plus.
  •  CPA is a bonus!
  •  7+ years of relevant finance experience within a manufacturing
  •  Oversee all financial activities of the organization – financial statements, projections, budgeting, FP&A, cash management, investments, auditing, insurance, treasury, etc.
  •  Adept with ERP systems (Oracle based – IQMS)
  •  Strong understanding of mergers & acquisitions, analysis, and cost accounting manufacturing variances
  •  Champion and implement best practices within accounting strategy and financial management for the organization
  •  Outstanding people leadership skillset (mentoring)
  •  Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication capabilities

Process Engineer (multiple positions available)

Reports To: VP of Engineering

Location: Salt Lake City, UT – 100% On-site

Compensation: $80K - $100K+ DOE 

Responsibilities and Requirements of the Process Engineer:

  •  BS in an Engineering field, Mechanical or Process Engineering preferred.
  •  3+ years of experience in an advanced manufacturing distribution setting
  •  Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
  •  Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus
  •  Working knowledge of engineering principles and practices, high-speed/volume manufacturing processes, quality systems, material science, or laboratory environment are all a plus!
  •  Technical knowledge and experience with installation, troubleshooting, failure investigations, and corrective action of material, process, and mechanical problems
  •  Familiar with fully automated production

Responsibilities & Requirements of the Embedded Electrical Engineer:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer, or software engineering or a closely related field.
  •  3+ years of relevant, new product development experience.
  •  Capacity to program embedded firmware microcontrollers.
  •  Understanding of Microchip 8,16 and 32-bit platforms, a plus!
  •  Familiarity of 3 phase motor control.
  •  Knowledge of designing to comply with EMC/EMR certifications.
  •  Proficient in power conversion.
  •  PCB design experience and understanding of circuit analysis for new and existing designs.
