PROJECT MANAGER

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Reports to: Director of Operations

Compensation: $85,000 - $110,000

Company Overview

We are a specialized mechanical contractor focused on the design, engineering, fabrication, and integrated delivery of process piping solutions. We serve clients across the water, power, energy, and industrial markets, offering a full-service model that spans estimating, engineering, project management, and shop fabrication. We are recognized as an innovative partner for complex infrastructure projects, with a track record of delivering large-scale outcomes for public and industrial clients across the country.

Your Role:

The Project Manager will lead planning and execution of a major facility expansion and relocation, transitioning operations from a 130,000 sq. ft. facility to a new 225,000 sq. ft. site. The role initially focuses on facility development, capital deployment, and operational ramp-up, then expands over time to include ownership of customer-specific projects.

What You’ll Do:

  • Site Transition: Own the full move to the new facility, keeping equipment installation, production sequencing, and customer commitments on track throughout.
  • Capital Oversight: Drive planning and execution of significant capital investment across equipment and facility build-out, managing vendors, schedules, and spend from selection through go-live.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Build the project infrastructure, keep internal teams and outside partners moving in the same direction, and get ahead of issues before they become delays.
  • Operations Launch: Prepare the new site for a successful start, aligning people, equipment, and workflows so production hits the ground running.
  • Growing Scope: Once things are running smoothly, step into ownership of customer-facing work, serving as the primary point of contact for project delivery.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Background: Hands-on experience leading complex industrial or manufacturing facility projects, with a strong track record on capital-intensive work in the $10M+ range.
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of equipment installation, facility layout, and what it takes to bring a new operation online.
  • Leadership: Comfortable managing across functions and working with outside contractors in environments where a lot is moving at once.
  • Discipline: Strong command of scheduling, budgeting, and risk management, with a preference for structure and clear accountability.
  • Industry Fit: Familiarity with metal fabrication or comparable manufacturing settings is a plus.
