Key Account Manager, Americas

Location: Chicago, IL - preferred

Reports to: Chief Commercial Officer

Compensation: $180 - $200K + annual performance bonus

We are a global provider of advanced manufacturing systems and engineered solutions for dynamic production environments. From our Americas hub, we support customers across North, Central, and South America with technical service, installation, maintenance, and training. Known for quality, reliability, and long-term partnerships, we help manufacturers operate efficiently and perform at the highest level.

Your Role:

You’ll serve as the primary liaison between our team and the client’s multi-site US operations, coordinating 30+ active projects and a growing high-value pipeline. This role demands a structured, politically savvy professional who builds trust through execution and knows how to navigate fast-moving corporate environments.

What You’ll Do:

·   Act as the day-to-day bridge between our European headquarters and a high-growth client with 30+ concurrent projects across North America

·   Get ahead of problems before they escalate — read the room early, ask the right questions, and serve as the calm voice of reason when there are gaps in institutional knowledge

·   Keep the full project portfolio visible and connected — track active work across all sites, flag risks, and make sure costly mistakes on one project don’t repeat on the next

·   Partner with our internal food technology and process engineering team to shape proposals and translate what the client is asking for into something executable

·   Be a known, trusted face at client plants across the US and internationally — the person plant managers call first; travel up to 50% of the time

·   Work in sync with a Europe-based account team, bridging the time zone gap through structure, reliability, and proactive communication

What You’ll Bring:

·   7+ years in key account management in a true processing environment — confectionery, dairy, food manufacturing, or comparable

·   Experience navigating corporate complexity in large, fast-changing organizations — you know how to build credibility with plant managers and stay effective when conditions change

·   High execution standards and a structured approach to managing multiple simultaneous projects without things slipping through the cracks

·   Enough technical grounding to hold your own with engineers and food technologists

Why Join?

This is a team that values accountability, respect, and long-term relationships — both with customers and with each other. You’ll have the opportunity to make a visible impact while working alongside experienced, supportive professionals. The organization offers strong benefits, professional growth opportunities, and the stability of an established global company.
