SR. OPERATIONS MANAGER
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Reports to: Director of Operations
Compensation: $140,000 - $170,000

They are a trusted partner on some of the industry's most technically demanding programs.
Your Role:
As Operations Manager, you will oversee a major portion of production operations at the plant level, ensuring programs run smoothly, safely, and on schedule. You’ll own day-to-day production planning, manufacturing execution, and shipment across multiple programs — and serve as the connective tissue between production, engineering, quality, and HR to drive continuous improvement and business plan performance.
What You’ll Do:
- Own day-to-day production planning, manufacturing, and shipment across assigned programs, with authority to make tactical decisions across functional areas
- Drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery performance for the business unit
- Lead, coach, and influence all direct and indirect employees — from Production Team Leaders and Operators to Manufacturing, CI, and Engineering resources
- Champion operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the business unit
- Manage staffing allocations across production programs to maximize efficiency
- Serve as the key link between Human Resources and production supervision on safety, staffing, and performance coaching
- Partner with all supporting functions to identify and implement process improvements
- Achieve business plan financial performance across all areas of influence
- Represent the organization externally by fostering positive relationships with customers and community stakeholders
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Industrial Management, or related field
- 7+ years of relevant leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement and lean methodologies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with solid business acumen
- US Person status required (DoD contractor); visa sponsorship not available
- Preferred: aerospace industry experience with knowledge of government and commercial customer requirements
- Preferred: working knowledge of SAP and program management experience
