Compensation: $100K - $110K

Your Role:
The Procurement Manager will oversee sourcing and purchasing activities in support of a fast-paced, project-oriented operation. This role is responsible for ensuring that materials and external services are secured in a way that supports execution timelines, cost objectives, and overall project performance. Working closely with cross-functional partners, this individual will play a central role in aligning purchasing strategy with evolving business needs while bringing greater structure and consistency to procurement practices.
What You’ll Do:
- Strategic Sourcing: Build and manage a high-performing supplier base across steel, pipe, fabrication components, and subcontracted services.
- Competitive Bidding: Lead RFQs, bid analysis, and supplier selection to ensure cost competitiveness and alignment with project requirements.
- Negotiation: Drive pricing, terms, and lead time negotiations to reduce cost, improve flexibility, and mitigate risk.
- Project Buyouts: Manage procurement for large-scale project packages, ensuring materials and subcontractors are secured early and reliably.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner closely with planning, estimating, engineering, and project teams to align procurement with schedules and production needs.
- Supplier Performance: Monitor vendor quality, delivery, and responsiveness; address gaps quickly and elevate overall supplier accountability.
- Process Improvement: Build more disciplined, scalable procurement processes, including supplier scorecards and performance tracking.
What You’ll Bring:
- Background: 10+ years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience in fabrication, steel, or industrial manufacturing
- Technical Understanding: Ability to interpret drawings, BOMs, and project specifications within a fabrication or project-based environment
- Commercial Acumen: Strong negotiation, bidding, and supplier management experience with a focus on cost and risk control
- Systems Proficiency: Experience with ERP/MRP systems and using data to drive decisions
- Execution Mindset: Highly organized, responsive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven setting
- Communication: Clear and effective collaborator across operations, engineering, and external partners
