TERRITORY ACCOUNT MANAGER

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Reports to: VP of Sales & Marketing

Compensation: $100,000–$105,000 base + incentive compensation (On-Target Earnings: $150,000–$160,000)

Company Overview

We are a well-established industrial automation and process control company serving energy, manufacturing, and process industries across the Western United States. We deliver instrumentation, control systems, and valve solutions alongside field engineering and service support, backed by deep technical expertise. With decades in the industry, we've built a reputation for long-term client relationships and steady, sustained growth.

Your Role:

This is a working sales manager role, splitting time between leading a small team and personally driving growth across a portion of the Utah territory. You'll guide and develop a group of sales professionals while owning direct relationships with customers across refining, mining, oil and gas, chemical, and industrial accounts. As the team continues to grow, this position is a natural stepping stone toward a broader sales leadership role.

What You’ll Do:

·     Coach and develop a small team of sales professionals, helping them build pipeline and close new business

·     Own a defined portion of the Utah territory directly, managing an active book of customer accounts

·     Build account plans and evaluate territory white space to uncover new growth opportunities

·     Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers, including occasional after-hours support for critical issues

·     Use CRM data and dashboards to track performance, spot trends, and get ahead of account issues

·     Join team members on site visits and sales calls, and travel periodically for company sales meetings

What You’ll Bring:

·     5–7 years of technical sales experience, either within process/industrial industries or with technical products in an adjacent space

·     3+ years of experience leading or managing a sales team

·     A hunter mentality, with a track record of proactively generating new business rather than only maintaining existing accounts

·     A demonstrated history of being highly responsive to customer needs

·     Bachelor's degree required

·     Based in Utah, with established local ties to the market

Why Join?

We place real value on work-life balance, backed by a flexible schedule that provides a regular three-day weekend and a generous paid-time-off program. It's a collaborative, close-knit culture, reinforced by an employee-led social group that organizes outings and team events. We're built on long tenures, where curiosity and hands-on problem-solving are part of the everyday work.
