BUYER
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Reports to: Director of Operations
Compensation: $78,000 - $85,000
We are a global provider of advanced manufacturing systems and engineered production solutions for dynamic production environments. From our Americas hub in Salt Lake City, we support customers across North, Central, and South America with technical service, installation, maintenance, and training. Known for quality, reliability, and long-term partnerships, we help manufacturers operate efficiently and perform at the highest level.
Your Role:
As Buyer, you’ll build and run the purchasing function for our growing US operation, keeping the shop stocked for pump overhauls, spare parts work, and equipment production. You’ll own supplier relationships end-to-end — qualifying vendors, negotiating terms, and keeping orders on schedule.
What You’ll Do:
· Build out purchasing workflows, approval processes, and inventory tracking for the US facility, largely from scratch
· Source, vet, and qualify suppliers for mechanical components and fabricated materials, with an eye on quality and reliability
· Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules on purchase agreements and blanket POs
· Manage the full purchase order cycle, from RFQ through delivery, for spare parts and raw materials
· Track supplier performance, resolve delivery bottlenecks, and coordinate inbound shipping, customs, and safety compliance during material receiving
What You’ll Bring:
· 3-5+ years of purchasing experience in a technical manufacturing, repair, or industrial setting, or a related degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering
· Hands-on experience managing full purchase order cycles, expediting orders, and keeping inventory available
· Strong negotiation instincts for day-to-day pricing, lead times, and delivery terms
· Comfort reading mechanical documentation or parts catalogs for pumps and industrial equipment; a plus if you’ve worked in a small, entrepreneurial branch of a larger global company
Why Join?
This is a team that values accountability, respect, and long-term relationships — both with customers and with each other. You’ll have the opportunity to make a visible impact while working alongside experienced, supportive professionals. The organization offers strong benefits, professional growth opportunities, and the stability of an established global company.
