Pipe Fitter

Location: Ogden, UT

Compensation: $25 - $30/hr DOE

Type: Full Time, On-site (4 x10 schedule - Fridays Off)

Our team designs, fabricates, and delivers piping systems that keep water, power, and industrial operations running safely. As a Pipe Fitter, you will convert engineered drawings into precision-fit, code-compliant assemblies that protect people, assets, and the environment. Your work is the last line of quality before systems go into service - your accuracy and craftsmanship determine whether projects succeed on time and without incident.

Performance Objectives

  • Fit, align, and assemble carbon, stainless, and alloy piping spools to drawings and specs so that 98% of joints pass first-pass visual and dimensional inspection.
  • Complete assigned fabrications within scheduled shop hours, contributing to 95% on-time project delivery.
  • Detect and correct fit-up, alignment, and material issues before welding, cutting rework by at least 20%.
  • Execute every task under our safety-first protocols and maintain a personal record of zero recordable incidents.
  • Partner with welders, QC, and engineers to verify ASME B31, ANSI, and client-specific compliance on every spool.
  • Produce accurate as-built documentation and material traceability records that support seamless field installation and client handover.

Environment & Resources

You will work in our fabrication shop reporting to the Shop Supervisor, alongside welders, fitters, and quality technicians. You will have access to CNC cutting, rolling, and welding equipment, full PPE, and material handling support. Projects serve water, power, energy, and industrial clients under an integrated-delivery model that keeps shop and field teams aligned.

Essential Qualifications

  • 3+ years of industrial pipe fitting experience reading isometric drawings, P&IDs, and spool sheets.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve tight-tolerance fit-up on pipe 2"–24" using grinders, bevelers, and alignment tools.
  • Working knowledge of ASME B31.1/B31.3, AWS, and relevant welding processes (GTAW, SMAW, FCAW).
  • Physical capacity to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, and stand for extended periods in a shop environment.
  • Proven safety record and willingness to follow lock-out, confined-space, and hot-work procedures.

Role Selling Points

  • Safety-first culture with real stop-work authority and zero-incident expectation.
  • See projects from shop floor to field installation through our integrated delivery model.
  • Stable, growing private company serving essential infrastructure markets.
