Western States Sales Engineer

Location: Remote - must reside in Utah, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Nevada, Arizona, or New Mexico

Travel: Up to 60% 

Reports to: Sales Manager

Compensation: $90K - $130K plus commission (on target total earnings: $130K - $200K+)

 

Requirements & Responsibilities of the Western States Sales Engineer:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, highly preferred. 
  • 5+ years of business development experience in a technical sales environment.
  • Strong technical aptitude and deep knowledge of composites, preferably composite tubing and/or bearings.
  • Demonstrable business development ability, including exceptional relationship building, negotiation, customer-service, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to adapt to ever-changing market conditions to meet or exceed goals.
  • Sincere, hungry, strategic, and data-driven personality.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication capabilities, including strong financial, business, and engineering acumen.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.  
  • Track market trends to guide business development strategy, helping to foster a culture of growth company wide.
  • Identify, research, and analyze new business opportunities, expanding customer base through initial outreach, site visits, and industry tradeshows.
  • Consult with prospective customers to provide innovative and tailored technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure timely product development initiation in alignment with customer design and validation.
  • Successfully transition secured accounts to customer relationship managers.

Batching Specialist 

Location: Salt Lake City, UT 

Reports to: Research and Development Manager 

Compensation: $85K - $100K, DOE

 

Requirements & Responsibilities of the Batching Specialist:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, food science, chemistry, or related field, highly preferred. 
  • 3+ years of experience in batching operations or a related production environment. 
  • Lean Six Sigma training/certification, highly desirable.
  • Thorough understanding of quality control measures and regulatory compliance. 
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members. 
  • Demonstrable proficiency in ERP software and Microsoft Office Suite.  
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
