Mechanical Design Engineer 

Location: Salt Lake City, UT  

Reports to: Engineering Manager 

Compensation: $85K - $105K+ 

Now hiring a D&D Master, who can handle 7- & 10-sided dice with strength, dexterity, constitution, intelligence, wisdom, and charisma. Working knowledge of RPGs, including DM / GM / DMPC experience, required. FLGS background, preferred… Hold up. Wrong job description. I’m being told the D&D stands for Design & Drafting, not Dungeons & Dragons. Apologies. We’re seeking a D&D Engineer who can handle 2D & 3D drawings with strength, dexterity, constitution, intelligence, wisdom, and charisma. Expertise in 3D CAD, GDPM, GD&T, ME, and OSHA, required.  

Requirements & Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer:  

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of design experience in heavy industrial manufacturing.
  • Strong mechanical and hydraulic product design and development skills. Experience with pumps and/or rotational machinery, preferred.
  • Exceptional CAD experience, FEA understanding, structural analysis background, and simulations familiarity.
  • Ability to define processes, lead design efforts, and write technical documents.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication capabilities.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Develop market leading pumps with a focus on mechanical design, structural integrity, and cost and performance improvements, and overall product life.
  • Design and develop new and legacy product enhancement, leading prototyping, testing, and validation activities.
  • Perform and document design calculations and risk assessments.
  • Provide through-life technical support.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to prepare drawings, 3D models, and design data.

Requirements & Responsibilities of HR Manager:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in HR roles, preferably within a manufacturing or related environment

Senior Millwork & Cabinet Engineer

Location: Draper, UT 

Reports to: President

Compensation: $80 - $100K

 

Requirements & Responsibilities of the Senior Millwork & Cabinet Engineer:

  • 5+ years experience in millwork and cabinet drafting, design, and engineering
  • Degree or certification in engineering, architecture, drafting & design, or related field highly preferred
  • Outstanding proficiency in Cabinet Vision and CAD software is a must
  • Ability to lead and direct team members to produce exceptional designs that continue to drive innovation and exceed our customers’ highest expectations
  • Strong experience producing drawings, bills of materials, NC code generation, and other details for effective production
  • Ability to create nesting programs for CNC machining to reduce waste and maximize yield, as well as produce CNC output for shop production
  • Excellent communication and collaboration ability to work with shop leaders, project managers, external customers, and vendors
  • High level of attention to detail with a passion for design
  • Knowledge of domestic and exotic wood species
  • Adept at reading and translating blueprints, drawings, and jobsite measurements
  • Substantial knowledge of cabinet design, construction, and installation methods
  • Drive for continual improvement in design, processes, and production methods
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ISO, etc. certification experience highly preferred

Requirements & Responsibilities of the Control Systems Engineer:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field. 
  • 2+ years of experience in circuit design and programming, including familiarity with industrial controls, processing, and/or machine building. 
  • Strong PLC programming ability (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.), including C languages and a base understanding of Ladder Logic.
  • Understanding of circuit design, power distribution (up to 480VAC), load balancing, motion controllers, and servo motors.

  • Exposure to Solidworks Electrical, highly preferred.

  • Ability to travel to customer sites 25% of the time.  
  • Design and engineer electrical control systems and machines based on customer specifications. 
  • Create and edit electrical control system schematics. 
  • Create a Bill-Of-Material of electrical and enclosure components.  
  • Document processes and engineering data. 
  • Work closely with service personnel to troubleshoot machines and play an active role in the continuous improvement of electromechanical system designs.
